Meet Todd Holmes: What made you want to start your own staffing company? My wife and I were wanting to start a similar small business when the company that I was working for fell on hard times and let us know that they were going to close there doors. I was happy that I had already made plans to start our own staffing company.

Was Tammy on board with you from the word ‘Go’?  Tammy was completely on board and extremely helpful. We had to work exceptionally long hours to set up the entire company and business plan in just a few short days. I do not think I could have done it without her help.

Why did you choose Kwik Staff and the geared Logo for your business? Simply, “We are geared to assist your staffing needs” and the gear on the logo just felt appropriate to incorporate into the name. Kwik Staff came about because our first location choice was right next to a Kwik Shop gas station. However, when we needed to find a building almost overnight that location was unavailable. So our location changed from where we wanted to be but the name stuck.

What is your favorite memory so far in business? Todd: My favorite memory is having to open so quickly, the fact that we spent until 3 or 4  in the morning setting up everything that we needed to run a business was just fun. Our first office desk’ was a folding table and a few folding chairs. I remember even using my personal cell phone as our office contact number, because we were still working on getting the phone lines connected. It was a crazy fast turn around, but fun knowing that we were accomplishing something great.
